The Step-Up Club is a student-led extension of the Step-Up Program that creates a space for students to connect, grow, and lead together. As members, students have the opportunity to build community, develop leadership skills, and take part in service and engagement activities that strengthen the campus experience. The club serves as both a support network and a platform for students to share their voices, ideas, and passions while giving back to others. Whether through hosting events, volunteering, or mentoring peers, the Step-Up Club is dedicated to fostering a culture of empowerment, belonging, and success at the University of Kentucky. The club was created with the purpose for returning Step-Up Fellows to have the opportunity of sharing their passion for working with immigrant and refugee populations in Lexington to the student body of UK! We host events that provide information on volunteering with various organizations throughout the city to support the area's refugee and immigrant population.
